11/14/04 from Norm Jones
While in Indiana last week I learned that Carol Letsinger had passed away. Since I've not received any group messsages about Carol, I thought I'd let you know. I have no't seen Carol since high school, but I image that she made the reunions while she was living in Evansville.

The following is her obituary from the Evansville newspaper.

Carol Ester Letsinger Huebner, 59, who taught instrumental music in the Evansville public schools, died of cancer November 2 in Foley, Alabama.
She fought her disease with courage and dignity, and was an inspiration to everyone she came in contract with during her illness.
A native of Evansville, Carol completed her BS in Education at Ball State University and her MS in Education and Performance at Indiana State University. As a professional musician, she performed with the Muncie Symphony, Anderson Symphony, Terre Haute Civic Theater, Evansville Symphonic Band, Evansville Civic Theater and the Coastal Chorale of Foley, Ala.
During her 34-year teaching career, she also conducted the Terre Haute Youth Symphony, Indiana State Woodwind Ensemble, E.V.S.C. Elementary All-City Band, Middle School Honors Band and Orchestra, High School Honors Band and the Summer Musical Orchestra.
Carol was a member of Isis Temple Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star, Glen Lakes L.G.A., Foley Women's Club and Past President of the Lakeview Homeowners Association.
