Ricky Lynn Winters

Ricky Lynn Winters, 59, of Englewood , Florida , died Monday, January 3, 2005 , in Evansville at the home of his mother, Ruth Winters. Ricky graduated from Bosse High School in 1963 and moved to Englewood , Florida , in 1973. He remained a Florida resident until he returned to Evansville about four months ago.

Ricky was loved by all who knew him. He was a generous person who literally would "give the shirt off his back" to anyone in need. He loved life to the fullest and made everyone in his presence happy. He was a lifelong bartender and created many hours of joy by doing magic tricks for the entertainment of his customers, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Galloway, in 1995, and his father, Harry G. Winters, in 2000.

Ricky is survived by daughters, Amy Winters of Evansville and Jennifer Lemmon and her husband, John of Westville, Ind.; son, Ricky L. Winters II of Englewood, Fla.; grandchildren, Jereme Galloway of Newburgh and Morgan Winters of Evansville and Breanna, Bianka, Seth and Silas, all of Westville, Ind.; sister, Judy Corich of Mishawaka, Ind.; brothers, Terry Winters of Newburgh and Randy Winters of Englewood, Fla.; and grandson.

The family wants to thank all of Ricky's friends in Englewood , Fla. , especially Sam Goish and Archie Henderson, for all the special love and care they gave Ricky before he returned to Evansville , and the in-home visiting staff at VistaCare Hospice that gave Ricky such loving care.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 , at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Reverend Robert Nall. Friends may call Friday, January 7, from 3 p.m. until service time at Alexander North Chapel.
