Woody Morse, 62, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born April 9, 1947, in Birmingham, AL.

[Woody was a 1965 Graduate of Bosse High School.] He retired from CSX after 40 years of employment. He was a member of AMVETS and enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Woody was preceded in death by Elizabeth in 1995 and Sharron in 2007.

He is survived by his son, Russell Morse; daughter, Kristen Northern (Kirk); step-daughters, Cathy Henderson (Kevin) and Kim Duncan; step-sons, Lonnie Leslie and Robin Grubbs; parents, Woodrow and Sara Morse; brother, Rick Morse; sister, Pam Arenberg; and grandchildren, Emilee, Seth, Paige, Ryan, Justin, Lindsey, Haley and Madison.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Terry Gamblin with burial to follow. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.

I hired in on the L&n RR in 1968 Woody's dad was my first boss and I became good friends with Woody when we worked together in Evansville and continued when I transfered to Jacksonville. My deepest sympathy to his entire family.

I just want to let the everyone know that Woody was the most kind and gentle man I have ever known.And he will be deeply missed by me and my family. I'll alaways treasure the time we got to spend with him.He will alaways be In our hearts. And forever missed.
