Carla S. (Jones) Thienes was called home to be with her Lord and Savior October 25, 2005, after a 20 month battle with cancer. Carla was born in 1948 to Bettie and Carl Jones. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1966, and was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. After spending most of her career in the plastics industry, she retired from The Matrixx Group in 2004, due to her illness. Carla is survived by her husband of 26 years, Mark Thienes, the love of her life; father, Carl G. Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Ginny Jones; mother-in-law, Mary B. Thienes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Ced Riecken, and Gina and Daniel Cobb; nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Mark and Lori Rodden, Carson and Mary Grace, Casey and Karen Riecken and Chloe, Jill Rodden and Jacob, Jeff Rodden and Matthew Riecken. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Sue Jones, and her maternal grandmother, Chloe McGregor. Carla enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished her friends. She loved and was loved by her family, her church family, and her Matrixx family. The family wishes to thank Welborn Oncology and VNA Hospice. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Jack Arney. Friends may call Friday, October 28, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
