Linda S. (Hebeisen) Drake died Sunday, May 26, 2002 in Watertown, South Dakota at the age of 51.

Linda, the daughter of Milo and Betty Hebeisen, was born August 9, 1950 in Waukegan, Illinois. She graduated from Bosse in 1968 and received a Computer Science degree from the University of Evansville. Linda started her career with Osco Drug in Evansville and was general manager in Watertown at the time of her death. She married Burdette Drake in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, fishing, caring for birds, and traveling. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer and Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her husband, Burdette of Watertown; parents, Milo and Betty Hebeisen of Newburgh; sister Marcia Hargrave of Newburgh; brother, Richard Hebeisen of Jasper, and nieces and nephews.

Her brother, David Hebeisen, of Tell City preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held in Watertown Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

For those of us who knew Linda, she always had a smile on her face and would wake up a room with her laugh. She knew how to party and never met a stranger. When Senator George McGovern visited Bosse Linda was dared to kiss him. She won the $10 bet.
