Deborah Fay Rhodes

Deborah Fay Rhodes, age 54, passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at 7 p.m.

She was the daughter of Cecil "Dusty" Rhodes and Bettye Rhodes, owners of the first 24 hour breakfast house called Dusty's. Debbie worked there while attending Bosse high school. After graduation Debbie worked at Simmon's Seat Covers, where she became a very talented upholstery seamstress. Debbie also worked at the Roca Bar for over 25 years where she met and served a lot of people and became everyone's friend. Debbie enjoyed life to the fullest. Debbie never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be missed

She is survived by her sister, Sandra Kay Newman and her husband, Stan of Evansville; her brother, Kevin Rhodes and his wife, Jane of Springfield, Mass.; her beloved niece, Kim Lieberman and husband, Steve; and great-nephews, Ari and Eli from Memphis, Tenn.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18th 2005, at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. Burial will be private.
