Lucinda "Cindy" Schwerdtfeger, 58, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her residence.

Cindy was born in Evansville on July 19, 1953 to Ervin "Bud" and Alice Joyce (Jordan) Schwerdtfeger. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1971. Cindy worked at Whirlpool for 17 years. She enjoyed drawing and reading and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Alice Joyce Schwerdtfeger of Evansville, IN; daughter, Jessica Schwerdtfeger, of Evansville, IN; brother, Ken Schwerdtfeger of Evansville, IN; aunt, Bette Kiefner of Evansville, IN; and numerous cousins.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Ervin " Bud" Schwerdtfeger in 1993.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Robert Hetzel officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3600 Oak Hill Rd., Evansville, IN 47711.
