Gary Wiley


Gary Wiley, 51, of Evansville, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Deaconess Hospital.

Gary was a 1973 graduate of Bosse High School. He worked with his brother at Wiley Carpet prior to being employed by GE Plastics for 17 years. He loved sports including the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B. Wiley, and mother, Evadne Wiley, of Evansville.

Gary is survived by his three children, Gordon Wiley of Evansville, Melissa Wiley of Evansville, and Sarah Wiley of Mount Vernon, Ind.; brother, Charles Wiley and wife, Beverly, (Johnston) Wiley; and two nephews, Robert Wiley and Kevin Wiley, all of Evansville.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Reverend Darrick Hayden, with burial in Stewartsville, Ind. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander West Chapel.

Gary was a kind man. He always had a smile and good word to share with us. He was very good to my boys. I know that he loved his own children more than anything in this world. He talked about them constantly whenever he saw me. Gary will be missed.
