Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Scott Williams, age 41, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord at 1:15 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at his home in Evansville. Ronnie was born June 28, 1964, in Evansville the son of Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Williams (Lucy). He was baptized at an early age and united with the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Evansville, where he sang in the youth choir. He attended Glenwood Elementary School and was a left-handed pitcher for the Southside Little League. He was a 1981 graduate of Benjamin Bosse High School, where he played football and participated in track and field. Ronnie loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He had been the head chef at Wolf's Bar-B-Q Restaurant and had worked Hammer Industries. He loved his friends, his cars and trucks and he loved to travel. He was an avid fisherman, loved to cook fish and eat as well. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Vada Carlene Wells and they still remain friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Adrienne Denise Williams, in 1984. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Williams (Lucy); 2 daughters, Adrienne Denise Williams and Whitney Renea Williams, both of Clarksville, Tenn.; a son, Tyrus Williams of Evansville; a stepdaughter, Samantha Carlene Wells of Evansville; stepson, Ronald D. Wells of Evansville; 4 brothers, Michael Lee, Bryant Keith, Jason Leron (Eventual) and Marcus Scott Williams, all of Evansville; 4 grandchildren, A'Nya Nakryhe-Williams, DeAvion D'Juan Bennett and A'Marvion Louis Bennett, all of Clarksville, Tenn., and Thaddeus Desmoines Wells of Evansville; 8 aunts; 6 uncles; 2 great-aunts; 2 special aunts in Christ and their families; and a host of nieces and nephews. His home going celebration is 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Olive Galilee Baptist Church in Evansville, with the Rev. Robert Saunders officiating. His final resting place being the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday, with a wake service from 6 to 8 p.m., at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel.
