Rauntorrez Waddell, 23, went home to his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2007, at St. Mary's Medical Center , with his loving family at his bedside.

Torrez, as he was fondly called, was educated in the Evansville school system and graduated from Bosse High School in 2002. He was a lover of going to school; at present he was attending Ivy Tech. He was a member of Nazarene Baptist Church .

Torrez was a loving and a kind person, always with a smile on his face. He had lots of friends. He was fond of music and was a great recorder. His music was a great part of his life. Torrez will be sadly missed by his family and many friends and this community.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his three daughters, Javeah, Kamil and La`Nyjah Waddell; his devoted parents, Amelia and Eddie Holmes, and father, Nathaniel and Angela Waddell; a sister, Shantrece Waddell; two brothers, Lawrence and Devon Waddell; grandparents, Georgia and Harold Fellows, Nathaniel Waddell Sr. and Katherine Dixon; his very best friend and the mother of his children, Tamasha Shane; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, at Nazarene Baptist Church, 867 E. Walnut St., burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel. Pastor Larry Rascoe Sr. will officiate.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at St. Mary`s Intensive Care Unit, especially Dr. James Maserejian for the care given to Rauntorrez. It was the best.

It really hurts my heart to hear about Torre passing. We grew up together and at one point in time we were very close. I dated one of his best friends and Torre was always a joy to be around. He was very kind hearted and full of life always had a joke and a smile. My heart goes out to his family. He will definitely be missed and I will forever remember Torre as he is a very hard person to forget.

I am so saddened to hear of this. What a great loss in the lives of his family and friends. I have very fond memories of Tori from Bosse. He was my biggest fan when I would sing he would be the first person to come up to me with a big hug. I can close my eyes and remember his gigantic smile that he always had on his face. What a wonderful man. Can't wait to see him again in Heaven. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember Torre's beautiful smile. He was so handsome and full of life. Although I wasn't around him alot, it was enough to leave a lasting impression. Take your place in heaven Torre, you will be missed.
