I am so sorry to hear of this loss. I last visited Marilyn in Henderson about 10 years ago. She had that same spunky attitude that she had when she was the cheerleader advisor in 63. She really had a special connection to our class. She started out at Stanley Hall for two or three years and then moved to Bosse with our class so some of us knew her as a teacher for a good eight years.
As our cheerleader advisor Marilyn gave so much of herself/time. She even drove us to Michigan City one summer for a cheer leading camp. I know she enjoyed this and it gave her pleasure as we succeeded. She
loved her job as a PE teacher and she did influence me to pursue the same which I enjoyed also.
Rest Well Marilyn.. Sincerely, Kendra Diamond (Bosse Class of 1963)

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I am one of Mrs. King former student from Bosse High School. She was a wonderful gym teacher and she believed in diversity and told me that color did not matter, but you're leadership ability and how you carried yourself was more important. I have taken that to heart throughout my career. My maiden name was Lula Johnson. Lu Porter (Evansville)
