Cletus E. "Boots" Bristow, age 72, died at his home on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 31, 1934, in Boots worked in the grocery business many years. He owned and operated The Village Market in Boots was an avid fisherman and a lover of nature. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family, friends and fishing buddies, especially in the Boots is survived by his loving companion, Bobbie Thurmond of Evansville, Ind.; his two sons and their wives, David and Donna Brune, and Michael and Sandy Brune, all of Evansville, Ind.; two grandchildren, Zackery Bristow of Haubstadt, Ind., and Nicholas Brune and his wife, Virginia of Evansville, Ind.; one great-grandson, Austin Brune of Evansville, Ind.; one sister and her husband, Charlotte and Robert Knodt of Bellingham, Wash.; his Aunt Frances Voight of Boonville, Ind.; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Bristow, his son, Scott Alan Bristow, and his brother, Jerry Bristow.
