Larry Joe Goodman, 63, of Evansville , died Thursday, September 23, 2004 , at his residence. Larry went to Wheeler School and Bosse High School . He worked as a meat cutter for Jerry's Market for 23 years, Great Scot for 17 years, and Schnucks Grocery Store for 7 years. He was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church . Larry was a NASCAR fan and a UK basketball enthusiast.
Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Delores "Dodie" Goodman; son, Steven J. Goodman; daughter, Laurie Schucker and her husband Tim; grandchildren, Brandon and Benjamin Goodman of Henderson, Ky.; Steven, Karissa, Justin, and Daren Schucker; great-grandchild, Christian Schucker; sister, Joyce Winn; brothers, Bill Goodman and Ray Goodman all of Evansville and Ernest Dean Goodman of Chicago, Ill.
The family would like to thank the staff at VNA Charlier Hospice Center , especially Sharon and Diane, for their care and support.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2004 , at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Reverend Robert A. Nall. Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery . Friends may call Saturday, September 25, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at Alexander East Chapel.
