Gregory L. Hawkins, 56, of Evansville, stepped into eternity to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was self employed as an artist. Gregory attended Bosse High School and studied art at the University of Indiana. He had also studied in Sedona, Ariz., under John Henry Waddell for two years and in Amsterdam and England. He is survived by sister, Suzanne Garwood, of Elberfeld, Ind.; brother, George A. Hawkins of Evansville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer Eagleson and her husband, Jerry, of Elberfeld, Ind.; Mary Beth Hunt and her husband, Brian, of Evansville; nieces and nephews, Cherie, Christine, John, Angela, Pam, Jerrod, Jeff, Jay, Michelle, James, Natalie and Jordan; and many great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores (Baker) and George L. Hawkins; and a half brother, Bill Hawkins. Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at Oak Hill Baptist Church, 4615 Oak Hill Rd., Evansville, with Pastor Alan Scott officiating. Burial will be held at Maple Grove, Boonville, Ind. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, at Oak Hill Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, PO Box 3487, Evansville, IN 47734. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
