Brian "Scooby" Lang


Brian "Scooby" Lang, 43, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 23, 2006, from the result of a motorcycle accident.

Brian attended Bosse High School [1981?]. He was an estimator for Lang Brothers Construction. Brian was an avid bass fisher; he enjoyed boating, motorcycles and being outdoors. Brian was a United States Navy veteran of the Gulf War, where he attained Rank of E-5 and was a member of the Diamondback Squadron #113 on the USS America.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Lang, 19, Anderson, Ind.; sons, Brian K. Lang Jr., 21, Evansville, Ind., Mark Lang, 20, Evansville, Ind., and Santana Huffman, 18, Evansville, Ind.

He always held a special place in his heart for Ashley Brannum.

He is also survived by his mother, Ruth A. (Lang) Lile, Evansville, Ind.; father, Bennie T. Lang and his wife, Mildred, Mt. Vernon, Ind.; brothers, Ben T. Lang, Evansville, Ind., Larry W. Lang, Evansville, Ind., and Bob E. Lang and his wife, Linda R., Evansville, Ind.; and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2006, and from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2006, at Browning Funeral Home. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday, January 27, 2006, at Browning Funeral Home.
