Harold P. Lee


Harold P. Lee, 85, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at River Pointe Health Campus.

Harold graduated from Bosse High School [1939?]. He joined the United States Army and served our country during World War II. Upon return from the service he was employed for many years with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. Harold was a member of Garvinwood General Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, bowling and the horse and dog races.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma (Bufkin) Lee, who passed away in 1961, and his second wife, Wanda "Pauline"(Besing) Lee, who passed away in 2004.

He is survived by his loving family, daughter and her husband, Katherine "Kathy" and Larry Galvin of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Michael and Varbi Galvin and Amanda and Michael Degenhart; and great-grandchildren, Michaiah Galvin, Lilly Degenhart, Ella Galvin, Samuel Degenhart, and Jedidiah Galvin.

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. William "Bill" Bullock officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Browning Funeral Home.
