Lois Elaine (Love) Crofts


Lois Elaine (Love) Crofts, 67, of Evansville, Ind., died at 4:04 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at her residence.

Lois was born October 16, 1939, in Rumsey, Kentucky, to Albert and Nancy (Cobb) Love. She was a [1957?] graduate of Bosse High School and a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Lois had worked for Zeidler's Floral Company for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Lois was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a sister and was always there for her family in their time of need.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Grimwood and her husband, Dan, of Evansville; a son, Alvin M. Crofts II and his wife, Nagla, of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Glynda Fisher and her husband, Dr. Dale Fisher MD, of Union County, Ky., Rita Love of Dayton, Ohio, and Betty Jean Snodgrass and her husband, Bill, of Sullivan, Ind.; one brother, Albert L. "Skeeter" Love of Evansville; five grandchildren, Alvin M. Crofts IV, Andrea M. Crofts, Alexis E. Grimwood, Kaitlyn N. Grimwood and Kristyn D. Grimwood; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Crofts, in 2006, her grandson, Alvin M. Crofts III, and her brother, Ernest E. "Buster" Love.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Brother Garry Lanham officiating. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today, August 16, 2007, at Boone Funeral Home, East Chapel.
