Ruth (McGinness) Trott

Ruth (McGinness) Trott, 88, of Evansville died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She had taught at Reitz High School and owned and managed real estate in Evansville.

She was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ, Officers’ Wives Association, and the Home Economics Club.

She was a graduate of Bosse High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Evansville College. She was a member of AOPi Sorority.

She was a volunteer for many causes, including Meals on Wheels, the YWCA and senior citizens programs.

Surviving are two sons, David of Dallas and Steve of Memphis, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bill, in 1991.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel United Church of Christ, the Revs. Joseph W. Fraccaro and Donald W. Bernhardt officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel.
