Willie Lee Shack, 53, formerly of Marion, died July 1, 2002 as a result of injuries he suffered in a car accident in Webster County. He was born in Boyle, Miss., attended Bosse High School, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received medals of National Defense, the Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was retired from the Earl C. Clements Job Corps Center as well as from Peabody Coal Camp No. 1 in Morganfield. He was a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Gina Shack; a daughter, Erica Shack of Marion; his parents, Mary and Charles Dunbar of Evansville; four sisters, Jeannie Wells of Atlanta, Antoinette Moore, Charles King and Pamela Buggs, all of Evansville; two brothers, Joseph Dunbar and Tyrone Dunbar, both of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 6 at Bethany Apostolic Church in Evansville with Bishop G.L. Frazier officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery. |
