Ronald Derome Wells


Ronald Derome "Swat" Wells, age 20, departed from this life on Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at Deaconess Hospital.

Ron attended school in the EVSC and last attended Bosse High School.

He was employed at the Columbia Healthcare Dietary Department.

He was also a member of Dove's Chapel Full Gospel Baptist Church.

Ron was well-known among his peers as having a kind and willing spirit, ready to help out whenever possible. He was also known for his humor as a jokester. Involvement in sports filled a lot of his time and he really loved fishing. Ron was talented at fixing things related to carpentry and as a rapper, having recorded some CDs.

He is survived by his loving mother, Vada Wells, and loving father, Ronald Clark; his sisters, Samantha Wells, Jamayla Clark, Cyverta Snider, and Phiona Mockobee; stepsisters, Adrienne D. and Whitney Williams; stepbrother, Tyrus Williams; stepmother, Bessie Clark; grandmothers, DeLoris Crenshaw and Hazel Wells; uncles; aunts; nieces; nephews; and a host of cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, with Rev. Adrian Brooks and Rev. Randall Lander officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
