Helen (Woodring) Brill Sullenger


Helen (Woodring) Brill Sullenger, 86, of Evansville , died 7 a.m. March 18, 2005 , at Newburgh Health Care Center.

Helen was born in Nebo , Ky. , on March 24, 1918 . She graduated from Bosse High School and as a young woman worked as a bookkeeper for S.I.G.Y.E.

She was married to Frank Brill. Her children attended Plaza Park School , where she was active in the P.T.A. for several years, at the end of the school year, Helen entertained members of the PTA, teachers and the principal to a beautiful luncheon at her home.

Helen belonged to Rolling Hills Country Club and was a longtime member of the Women's Golf Association. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and attended St. John's East United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Evansville Garden Club and enjoyed golf, cooking and playing cards.

Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Brill, a brother, William Woodring, a sister, Anna Lee, and her second husband, George Sullenger.

Helen is survived by son, Larry Brill; daughter, Becky Brill; and daughter, Bobby Schaefer; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Vernon and Lou Sullenger, Bill Sullenger, Nancy Sullenger and Chris and Susan White.

Services 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2005 , at Alexander East Chapel, with Dr. Dennis Davenport and Reverend Kenneth Townsend officiating. Entombment in Oak Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel.
